Founded in 2013 by Dr Shaun Thompson, expatdental® began with a clear purpose — to offer a dental experience that feels familiar, reassuring, and personal. We’ve stayed true to that philosophy over the years. Today, we operate from our flagship clinic in Novena, seeing patients of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages.

Our dentists are trained in globally recognised institutions, with experience across the US, the UK, and beyond. Many members of our team have lived and worked internationally themselves, and bring that insight into the way we communicate and care. We understand what it’s like to be far from home — and we’ve designed every part of our patient journey to reflect that.

For families, our Novena clinic is a space where both adults and children can feel at ease. We see children from as early as six months old, with a strong focus on early visits to build comfort and familiarity. These appointments are designed to support developmental milestones, reinforce healthy habits, and provide parents with guidance along the way. As children grow, we continue to support them through regular check-ups, education, and — when needed — early orthodontic referrals.

But care doesn’t stop with kids. Many of our patients are professionals or caregivers who haven’t prioritised their own dental health for a while. Whether it’s time to get back on track with preventive care, restore confidence in your smile, or finally ask the questions you’ve been meaning to — our team is here to support you, without judgement or pressure.
