How IGCSE at Overseas Family School Prepares Students for Success

At OFS, the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) curriculum content is incorporated within the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme. At the end of these courses, students have the possibility to sit the IGCSE external examinations.
What is the IGCSE?
The IGCSE is a globally recognised qualification provided by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) board. Designed for students aged 14 to 16, the IGCSE serves as a critical academic milestone and holds equivalence to the UK’s GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) and the O-Level in Singapore. The grading system ranges from A*, A, B, C, D, E, F, G or U-Ungraded, and students will receive a certificate of their final grades along with the subjects they took.

Developed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations, the IGCSE is vastly recognized by tertiary institutions and employers around the world, making it one of the most prestigious certifications to have. Success Stories and Alumni Achievements
OFS has a reputable track record of outstanding IGCSE results, with our last batch of students in the academic year 2023-2024 achieving 99% pass rate, and with an outstanding 59% of students receiving an A or A*! 27 of our students achieved 5 A* or more, and we are very proud of our students’ achievements. Their accomplishments are not only a reflection of their hard work but also of the nurturing academic environment at OFS.
