OFS IB Diploma Results 2026: Celebrating Outstanding Student Achievement!

For families exploring international schools in Singapore, IB Diploma results can offer a valuable look at a school’s academic environment, the support students receive and how well they are prepared for their next chapter.

The Overseas Family School (OFS) Class of 2026 achieved strong results in the May 2026 IB Diploma examinations, with an average score of 36 points, compared with the global average of 30.88.

Two OFS students achieved the maximum possible score of 45 points, while seven students earned an outstanding 44 points. Across the graduating class, 26% of students scored 40 points or above, 60% achieved 35 points or above, and 91% scored 30 points or above.

Behind these numbers are individual journeys shaped by hard work, perseverance, teacher support and years of learning.

What Does a 45-Point IB Diploma Score Mean?

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly known as the IB DP, is a rigorous two-year programme typically undertaken by students in Grades 11 and 12.

The highest possible IB Diploma score is 45 points, making a perfect score an exceptional achievement. Scores of 40 points and above are also regarded as particularly strong results and can support applications to leading universities around the world.

For the OFS Class of 2026, Minhyung Cho and Samhita Savitri Uppalapati achieved a perfect 45 points.

Seven students achieved 44 points: Kabeer Hans, Jiyun Kim, Soowook Kim, Zichen Liu, Yingrui Wang, Diya Khanna and Gayatri Unni.



Their achievements sit alongside the strong performance of the wider graduating class, reflecting the commitment of students with different strengths, goals and educational journeys.

Strong Results Without Academic Pre-Selection

What makes these OFS IB Diploma results particularly meaningful is the school’s approach to admissions.

OFS is an open-entry international school and does not academically pre-select students through entrance examinations.

Students are therefore not admitted because they have already demonstrated that they are likely to achieve certain examination results. Instead, children with different academic experiences, abilities and language backgrounds are given the opportunity to learn, develop and work towards their potential.

For internationally mobile families, this can be especially important. Children arriving in Singapore may be transferring between different curricula, joining at different points in the school year or adjusting to learning in a new language.

Strong academic results in a non-selective environment therefore tell a wider story. They reflect not only what students achieve at the end of their school journey, but also the learning, guidance and development that take place along the way.

Preparing Students for the IB Diploma

The IB Diploma Programme challenges students academically while developing skills such as critical thinking, research, communication, organisation and independent learning.

At OFS, the IB Diploma is part of a complete international education pathway for students in Pre-K1 to Grade 12. Students progress through internationally recognised programmes including the International Early Years Curriculum, International Primary Curriculum, IB Middle Years Programme and Cambridge IGCSE before reaching the IB Diploma Programme.

This continuous pathway gives students opportunities to build the knowledge, confidence and learning habits needed for the demands of the IB Diploma and university life beyond school.

Supporting Different Student Journeys

Not every student begins at the same starting point.



Some students may have studied in several countries or experienced different education systems. Others may be developing their confidence in English while continuing their academic learning.

For students who need additional English support, OFS offers an English Language Acquisition Programme, also known as the Study Preparation Programme (SPP). It provides dedicated language support while helping students continue learning at an age-appropriate academic level and gradually transition into mainstream classes.

This reflects a broader approach that recognises different starting points while continuing to encourage every student to progress.

Celebrating the OFS Class of 2026

Outstanding IB Diploma results deserve to be celebrated, but a final score is only one part of each student’s story.

For the OFS Class of 2026, these results represent years of learning, challenges overcome, encouragement from teachers and families, and the determination of the students themselves.

And at an open-entry school where students are not academically pre-selected, every achievement is earned.
