The Oracle admin team have recently been discussing a list of must do’s and see’s in Singapore when we can actually get out. For newbies and seasoned expats who might appreciate seeing parts of Singapore previously overlooked, here is a short list to help inspire some outings:
1. Har Paw Villa – truly odd, a must see!
2. Newly renovated Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling or 20
3. Our old favourite GBTB with water play area for the younger kiddos
4. Botanic Gardens – get out and appreciate nature.. seriously
5. Southern Ridges Walk / Kent Ridge Walk – bring a hat and litres of water
6. Baba House – Neil road – unique insight into Peranakan culture
7. Palau Ubin – rustic bike riding accessible by bumboat
8. Brunch on the beach Sentosa
9. Wet n Wild Water Park Pasir ris
10. Good old Zoo and Bird Park
11. Ice skating at The Rink - JCube
12. Art Science Museum – good for a rainy day
13. A dander around China Town – the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
14. National Gallery – arty treats
15. Changi War Museum – stark reminder of the realities of war
16. River Safari or the Aquarium on Sentosa for indoor water appreciation
17. Merlion and a walk around Marina Barrage
18. Singapore Flyer – if that’s your thing
19. Fort Canning – unique little park with lots of events usually happening
20. Little India / Tekka market / Mustafas – always an experience
21. Sentosa Cable car or the Luge is great fun for all ages
22. Wings of Time or the Light show on Sentosa
23. MBS and its light show at night is quite cool
24. Butterfly park & Insect Park Sentosa is often overlooked but cute
25. Black and White House Tours are stunning
26. Anyone can join the jump on /off bus tours across the City
27. East Coast Park – epic playground and some super swings at Marina Cove
28. Lau Pat Sat – meet friends and breathe in the atmosphere and smells
29. Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve – spot a crocodile
30. Universal Studios always a winner.
